  2023 GREAT MIDWEST CO-PLAYER OF THE YEAR: EDDIE MILLER GARRETT - Defensive Line, RS Senior - Ohio Dominican University,...Eddie Miller-Garrett earned a share of the Player of the Year honors as a defensive lineman. Miller-Garrett led the league in tackles for loss with 23 this season, 18 of which were solo. His 23 tackles for loss ranks first in Division II. The senior out of Newark, NJ., also leads the G-MAC in sacks, averaging nearly one per game (0.95) and 10.5 on the year.   2019 ALL-GREAT MIDWEST SECOND TEAM (COACHES): JAKE GARRISON - Ohio Dominican University - Offensive Line - RS Junior,...Garrison and Gerken helped lead a solid offensive line that has allowed fewer than 15 sacks in two of the past three seasons. The duo helped the offense to 30.3 points and 347.3 yards per game. ODU's scoring and rushing (129.7) offensive marks are among the conference leaders. Garrison and Gerken held down the center and left tackle positions all season long. Garrison is now a three-time all-GMAC pick, which includes honorable mention accolades in 2017 and 2018. The tight end made his first nine starts at ODU this season. Skuratowicz hauled in 17 of his 20 career catches at ODU, including his first receiving touchdown as a Panther in a game at Tiffin.   2019 ALL-GREAT MIDWEST SECOND TEAM (COACHES): EJ COLSON - Ohio Dominican University - Running Back - RS Senior,...Colson has been one of the conference's most explosive offensive players this season, accounting for over 1,000 all-purpose yards. The senior running back has eclipsed the 800-yard mark for the second time in his career with 827 yards on the ground in 2019. His nine rushing scores also made him the first player in school history to score eight or more times on the ground in three different seasons. He's added 186 yards and 22 receptions as a pass catcher as well. Colson is 36th nationally in rushing yards per game, 91.9, while his all-purpose total of 115.7 yards per outing is inside the top six of the G-MAC. The senior also surpassed 2,000 career rushing yards this season, as his 2,752 yards are second all-time at ODU.   2019 ALL-GREAT MIDWEST HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): DEANDRE CLARK - Wide Receiver - RS Sophomore,...Clark was called into action after an injury to senior David Turner (Fort Wayne, Ind.), and has proceeded to lead the team in catches with 35 for 401 yards. The sophomore debuted his 2019 season with seven catches against Findlay and added a career-best eight receptions the next week at Tiffin. His first 100-yard game came at Alderson Broaddus and his first career two-score game was against Lake Erie. Clark is also ODU's top kick returner with 364 yards. The sophomore is averaging 109.3 all-purpose yards per game, ranking second on the team and among the top seven in the conference. The junior has joined Garner in the opposing team's backfield all season long with 7.5 tackles for loss. Smoot-Baker has 32 tackles on the season, as well as two forced and two recovered fumbles. Both of his recoveries came in a 17-7 win at Hillsdale, which ties him for the most in a single game in school history. The junior also has 4.5 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries and a blocked kick.
